I've had a mooncup and although they're better than pads and liners I switched to a lunette because it's thinner and far more flexible. I don't use it much because the mirena has pretty much stopped my periods, but there's also the diva cup which I hear a lot of rave reviews about.
Just make sure you have some wipes (fragrance free so that don't sting you) if you need to empty it whilst out and about. Oh and you might need to quat to put it in the first few times

Mooncup
Been considering getting one for a while, both for ecological and financial reasons - sanitary products are expensive and messy (sick of ruining my underwear due to pad movement at night). I also still find even small tampons uncomfortable and just don't like them. And I want to be more environmentally friendly. Just wondering if anyone here has one (I think a few do) and what your experiences have been?

I have a mooncup and it's great - so much comfier than tampons! It may be a struggle to get it in until youve worked out the best way of putting it in for yourself though. I also find that it's great for the first 4 days but then I start to get sore because of having to fiddle around so much 'down there' - but that is literally my only negative!

Oooh, the lunette might be better for me then, just looking at the website now. Where did you get it?

My girlfriend has been using one for years, she swears by them. She said at first it was a bit messy, but when you get used to it the benefits outweigh the cons. She's never looked back.
Hope that helps coming from a guy.
