  • Hi Ablemajor,

I personally don't believe you're a bad person. I think it makes sense that you won't feel very fondly about people you've had bad experiences with. With that being said, i think it's also important to try and remind yourself that it's unlikely an entire profession would be "bad". Maybe the doctors you have encountered have not been pleasant/helpful, but the people...

  • Hey OIAM,

In my experience, everyone handles grief differently. I distinctly remember one day my mum was driving down the road and all of a sudden she started crying so hard she had to pull over. She was crying over the passing of her father, who had passed a few weeks before, and until that moment it seemed like it hadn't affected her at all. I don't even think she cried at his funeral....

  • Hi Sam123,

While this is a little off topic from what you started this thread about, I looked into a few anti-stigma campaigns and found a website called Time to change (http://www.time-to-change.org.uk/new...ity-supporters). It highlights some celebrities who have spoken out about their mental health experiences with the intention of reducing the stigma around mental illness....

    Hi One-in-a-million,

I'm so sorry to hear about your nan, from what you've shared about her she was a very important person in your life, and I'm sure all your love for her meant so much to her. While healing from a loss like this can take time, it's great that you've been able to talk about it and reach out to others to help you/keep you distracted. It is very normal to feel fine one...

    Hi jellyelephant,

Sometimes this happens to me when i'm not logged in (for example: when I open a new page to read a thread and in that page, I don't get automatically logged in, and don't realise it). I don't know if that is what is happening to you, but it's worth double checking to make sure you're logged in when you can't see the box to reply!

    If that doesn't work,...

Hi again! so i've decided to just add to this thread instead of starting a whole new one. Please add on to this list or continue to share what you're doing!
    1. Recruit some of your single friends and embark on a “Sweets Shop Crawl”. Visit all your favourite dessert venues or discover somewhere new. Be sure to pace yourself, it's easy to have big eyes when it comes to decadent desserts.
    2. Buy yourself

  • Hi sammy.h94

You are definitely not alone in feeling confused and hurt after the end of a relationship. It's very normal to feel sad when things end, even if the relationship wasn't always rewarding. Like notagainvitelina said, you tend to remember/miss the good things more than the bad. In my opinion (which could easily be wrong for you, but I'll give it to you just in case it helps),...

This is such a good point! Valentines day doesn't just have to be for couples. I am going to post a thread about singles on valentines day later today. Feel free to check it out/ chime in once it's up!

    Hi Flying_hope,

I think it's really brave of you to reach out to someone about your self harm. I obviously can't say for sure, but i would think that your supervisor would be pleased that you reached out to them for help and would encourage you to get help to reduce your self harm. It's hard to predict how people will respond, but I will tell you that it is common for people to be worried...

    Hi HannahBannanna,

I'm sorry to hear you're not feeling well. It makes sense that without something to keep you busy, your mood would get even worse, so getting signed-off from work definitely seems counter productive. I guess I would just encourage you to use these 6 weeks as productively as you can. Maybe reaching out for more support, or learning a new skill/hobby like Aidan suggested,...

    Hi one-in-a-million.

Logically, It makes sense that you would have feelings for someone who treats you kindly and respects you. In my opinion, the best thing to do is just appreciate his friendship and use the characteristics you like about him to understand what you're looking for in other future partners. Maybe knowing what you like about a person will help you more quickly know if...
