  • Hey newguyhere,

Hope you're doing well! What everyone has said so far has been really great! Communication is often key and it would definitely be good to ask her where you guys stand and how she feels about the whole LDR. Speaking can help get everything out and that way the two of you would know how one another feels and then work from there!

    Hey one-in-a-million,

As you know we're not medical experts here but from what you are saying it would probably be best to visit the doctor or the gynaecologist to be on the safe side! They will definitely help you trying to figure out what it is and if there is some way to get rid of it for when you do decide to become sexually active! And side note, don't feel awkward for talking about...

    Hey Abbeyy!
It's really good that you are acknowledging these things about yourself and the fact that you can openly say it too is a very big step to getting better! It's also amazing that some days you're very open about things which just goes to show that you do have the capability! We are always here to talk as Mike said!

    Hey one-in-a-million,

There is no rulebook or criteria for how to be a normal 22 year old! This is your life and you should live it how you want - that includes deciding how you dress, whether you wear loads of makeup or none at all, it's completely up to you! There is only one version of you and you should try to make that as best you can! Chances are that other people's opinions could...

Hope you're okay! Would you like someone to PM you if you need anyone to talk to you privately about what you're going through?

    Hey raindrop96,
Welcome to the boards! Long distance relationships can be a pain when trying to find time for one another! There is nothing wrong with wanting to see your partner more, and it's thoughtful of you to ask for advice on how not to seem too full on! It could be good to just sit down with him and explain to him that you don't want it to seem like you're trying to stop him from going...

    Hey Lauren,
Welcome to the boards! At the Mix we aren't experts so we can't really give you professional advice, however it would be beneficial if you went back to the doctors and asked for more advice. Tell them about the issue you're having with steroids and they can offer you good advice. Also, just a note, be careful when posting links since we have a lot of spam on the forums and you may...

    Hi Aidan,
It's so nice to hear you've found someone who makes you happy! Since it is early days, you will eventually most likely find ways to cope being long distance but one thing which I know from a lot of my friends is that communication really is key! Even if you don't have long conversations every day, it is always nice to have small convos here and there! We are lucky with all the technology...

  • Hey Amanda,
Hope today is a better day for you! Like Shaunie said, it may be good to write down your thoughts and if you're finding it difficult to talk to your parents you could start with maybe drafting a letter provided you're comfortable doing that. It may seem like your parents don't care, but often people rethink their opinions when they're faced with someone that is close to them suffering...

    Hi Carlos,
Firstly welcome to the boards! You are not the only one to have these feelings and plenty of people suffer with them too. Well done for posting about it on the boards here, this is the first step to getting help and it is good that you have acknowledged that you need help! Do you know maybe what triggered these thoughts? You wrote that you've had these thoughts for a week, has something...

  • Hi Victoria,

Welcome to the boards! Firstly, just like LaneBoi said, whatever you do is your choice and no one should pressure you to do things, whether it is something you do want to do eventually or something you never plan on doing. At the end of the day, they can keep asking you to have children, but it's impossible for them to make you pregnant to put in blunt terms! Of course the...

    Hey Tom,

Edc has made a lot of good points! It could be worth addressing some of the things you were unhappy with and it could be good to talk about it. Is there anyone else you could talk to about how you're feeling? LIke a friend or family? Communication is said to often help but so is keeping busy! There are ways of trying to lead a slightly 'healthier' lifestyle which could be good...
