  1. Talking Sticky Thread Sticky: Vouchers, coupons and the like

 DG just gave me a wave of inspiration with his food coupons in the 'feeling the pinch' thread. I thought it would be good to have a thread where we link to any vouchers/offers etc that are floating round t'internet. So I'm gonna kick off with this Zizzi's 2 for 1 offer that lasts until Sept 10th. There was an Pizza Express one, but it's expired now, but I'm sure another one will...

  1. freezing chocolate brownies

I've just made three batches of chocolate brownies using those small-ish foil trays. I want to freeze two of the batches to stop my boyfriend guzzling it all straight away. Even if it is for his birthday. I guess I can just freeze it straight in the aluminium trays with a lid on top? Now the really thick bit- when we want to eat it, do we defrost and then put in the oven? or straight from...

  3. Healthy Eating..

Im always being told i dont eat enough, but i eat when i am hungry, and dont think ive any problems. But i ate tons today for lunch, probably not that good for me tbh, but i kinda linked this to my breakfast as i had a bowl of coco pops today, whereas i normally have a bowl of granola or fruit and fibre, and then wont eat a very big lunch. Which is better for me ?!

  4. Favourite hangover food?

Whats your favourite munch when you're hanging? Healthy or grease? Usually I rock out the old favourite.... a full English fry up. Or sometimes I'll settle for a bacon sandwich, or a sausage and fried egg sandwich. Recently I've trying to eat healthier, but I still can't deal with the melon and shit for breakie. So scrambled egg on toast, with plenty of Ketchup is my current hangover cure...

  6. How many recipes have you mastered?

 We just got wind of this new campaign called 5by25: http://www.5by25.com/ The premise is to encourage people by the age of 25 to have mastered at least 5 dishes that they can cook from scratch. The website has a bunch of recipes as well as info on key skills like food storage, making gravy and chopping. I have to admit that I'm not much of a cook although when I have the time I...

  8. Marmite Mixtures, What do you have with Marmite? do you like it or hate it?

Hi. This started as a throw away comment between Helen and myself, but think maybe it's a good time to throw open the doors and lets share our loves and hates about Marmite. Interesting fact about Marmite, it contains a lot of Vitamin B12, therefore it has great mood and memory increasing properties......... Personally, I love it, my favourite mixes are Warm Boiled Egg and Marmite...

  15. River Cottage

Did anybody here watch The View From River Cottage? I thought it was the best food program on the box. Although the presenter, Hugh Fearnley-Whittingstall, comes across as ab it of a tosser, I think he has an excellent attitude to food. The new series is called The River Cottage Treatment and everyweek involves teaching 'urbanites' where their food and in particular where their meat comes...

  21. Does anyone know of a take away that do good Pizza?

Okay I've been to many take aways and the pizzas have crappy cheese on them. The only take away I know that does good pizza is "Santa's Pizza". but I'm getting bored of pizza from there. I would buy from a supermarket or local store if I was craving for a pizza so bad but I'd like to try out new take away services that do good pizzas.

Okay first of all I guess you all have a toaster lol as one of my friends doesn't which shocked me a little when I went to his house one day asking if I could make some toast after a sleep over and he didn't even have a grill. I've also seen friends put slices of bread in the toaster vertically which is the wrong way to do it depending on the size of the of the slice of bread but my friends are...
