  2. Booking flights to the US

Hi all I am travelling to the US for 12 days in September and wanting to get my flights sorted, but I am also an avid bargain hunter and don't want to book now (4 months in advance) if I will save by waiting an extra month. Current cheapest I have is £530 return from London to LA ( 1 stopover each way) with US Airways. Any idea/recommendation whether I should just book it now?

  3. Restaurants in Geneva

I'm going to Geneva this weekend with my girlfriend. I wondered if anyone could recommend a good lively place to eat. She says I'm always picking bad places so any advice would be really appreciated. We've saved for a while for this trip so we have a good budget. Thanks, Christopher Martyn Meade disqualified from choosing the restaurant by his grilfriend!

  4. To Italy with friends???

I have always wanted to go to Italy. Last year I went to Nepal on an organised expedition thing and I knew that I had to travel the world. In all honesty, I have wanted to travel alone-do the trains/hostel stuff. But, I know how difficult that will be, and a little nerve wracking when it isn't an organised thing by some one else. So, I asked a few friends if they would like to come, about six...

  6. Walking Around in London

So I am a country bumpkin and I am going to London in April. My friend wants to meet me in Oxford Street from Euston but said it would be best to get the underground (it is a distance of 1.3 miles according to google earth) and she said it would take the best part of an hour to get that far on foot. Without saying she is a nutter or a liar, is there any truth in it taking that long to go so...

  15. Londoners! Help?!

I'm travelling to Derby and back by myself next week... I live down south, it's about 4hours on the train I think. I can deal with getting to London Victoria, but then I have to get to St. Pancras. I'm so confused about the whole St. Pancras/kings cross thing? On national rail it says it takes 30mins to get from Victoria to Pancras... but 11mins to get to kings cross... aren't they the same...

Hey there guys and girls. At this time of year (August) with the long summer days, and the time off that many people have; lots of people tend to go on holiday. 20. One week in France

A few mates and I are planning to go away to France for a week this summer and right now our main concern is money. We're thinking about staying in youth hostels and not traveling much, just from Paris to Brittany or somewhere similar. The ideal situation would be to fly into Paris and taking a train out of the city. So I was wondering if anyone had done anything similar and how much it would...

  23. Wanting to go abroad - advice please?

I have only been abroad once - that was a trip to Berlin with school in 2005. I really want to go abroad again. As someone who has only been abroad once, are there any places I should / shouldn't go to? I do like the sound of France or maybe Belgium. I like walking, music, sport and science. I would love to go skiing; although my parents aren't that keen on the idea of me skiing due to my...

  24. Cheap and Short Break in Europe

A mate of mine and I are hoping to get away for a long weekend, but we both don't have a lot of cash... We initially thought of going to Barcelona, as she speaks some Spanish and I am interested in the country, but we're not sure how cheap we can get out there and stay... My budget is around £300 by the way, not sure of hers (possibly £200-300)... We're both easy going and would happily...
