We're pleased to say that the new Site.org mobile pages have now gone live :yippe:
Do take a look (preferably using your phone) via this link: http://m.thesite.org, or click the mobile link in the top right of the header:
From the mobile homepage you'll be able to access mobile-friendly versions of the Local Advice Finder and the disucssion boards as well as quick links through to...
What this forum's for...
This is a place where you can discuss any issues with getting TheSite to work, any issues with logins or questions about the services on the main website.
This is also a place to make suggestion for improvements to the website. For example, people have used this as a space to suggest changes or additions to content on the main website, new sub forums and boards...
Hey there
So you may have noticed that we've been a little quiet recently regarding all the issues you reported after we upgraded the discussion boards.
We've been busy making sure that everything was logged and prioritising what needs fixing. We'd like to keep you all in the loop and be as transparent as possible about where we're at so we've created a Google spreadsheet that's...
Many thanks to Wildchild and the other long ago members who helped put together this userguide.

Here are some 'unwritten rules' by members of TheSite.org which you may like to bear in mind when posting on the boards. Members are welcome to post their opinions, providing they’re abiding by the registration rules they accepted when they joined...
For anyone who might have forgotten, these are the rules you signed up to when joining the discussion boards -
Registration to our Discussion Boards is free but we do insist that you abide by the rules and policies detailed below. If you agree to the terms, please press the Agree button at the end of the page.

Is there a way to hide a thread? I don't want to block the user, I just don't want to see on particular thread, because the title is making me feel a bit wobbly!
If not, would this be something thesite could look into doing? I think it'd be a good feature. :thumb:
You are probably aware of this already, but the orange network (for mobiles) won't allow access to thesite unless you've proven you're over 18.
What is boards policy on noting if things are triggering? I notice usually on 'general' discussion boards generally individuals are expected to kinda look out for themselves, and on 'support' or 'help' boards there tends to be stricter rules.
Not sure what the policy is here. What do people think the policy should be? I've had threads removed / edited in the past due to potentially triggering...
I see people have signatures on here and I'd like one too, how do I edit my signature as when I click my profile etc all I see is edit profile picture, edit avatar, edit password and e-mail and other things to edit but I don't see an edit signature. Not sure if I'm posting this in the right place if I haven't posted this in the right place sorry. But if anyone could explain to me how I edit my...
I'm not going to visit for a while, I think it's best for everyone that I get things in my life sorted out before I feel comfortable visit again, it's not fair for anybody else. I don't think I'll visit again for several weeks, but think it's for the best.
phone and iPod PM's won't send, just refreshes. just me? really annoying dammit! I need to send one off my phone and it's broken! also were is the button to change the mobile view back to normal gone? can we have it back pretty pleaaaase :)
Me and soph can't get into chat, the page won't fully load at all? Is there something wrong with the site tonight or?? :( Sad times!!
**REMINDER** For Jo7
Many people stated that their PM's were not sending...and a lot of us were being disconnected from chat.
If those fab techy people can check out why this was crackin' then that'd be fab :)
Thanks for a fab chat never the less!
Just out of curiousity, why has the time and date been removed from each post, within each thread?
diffanent subjects that we would like to talk about like
all of the things
and genreal chats like we have sundays wednesday, and the other days we have them
you know we got suggetions like
more we could have
some of the things that are not even on there
The issue I'm having occurs with both MSIE and Opera web browsers (latest stable releases), but only when logged in.
Is this something to do with streamlining for mobile display, or an actual issue? I have no idea, hence why I'm asking here. It's not too bad on a large resolution screen, but on smaller ones I can see people only being able to view the upper part of the attached...
Hi guys, Any chance a Mobile App for thesite.org chat could be whipped up or thought off?
I love the chats but cannot always get to a PC, I can log in on my phone via browser but not talk.
One for Android and guess I phone, would rock :) It's the rage now adays ;)
I know this isnt the YouthNet site, but something I just wanted to question. If you look at the YouthNet blog page http://www.youthnet.org/blog/ I have noticed that the ability to scroll to the relevant month/year of a post (with totals of blog posts in that time frame next to it) has disappeared from the right hand side.
We're experimenting with a new mobile friendly version of the boards.
We've been working to create a style that is mobile friendly but gets over some of the problems with the old one.
The basic functionality is available- you can login - post threads and access PMs.
You can switch easily between the main version (for...
long time no see! I wondered if there's a quick and easy way to delete my posts on here and then delete my account?
Just a suggestion really... so I thought the term 'manic depression' was pretty outdated, with bipolar disorder being the preferred term. So I was wondering if it may be appropriate to rename the article, currently a link on the home page. nd also a bit of text, so "bipolar (formerly known as manic depression" etc etc
And just to check....I looked at the Royal College of Psychiatrists page and
...and it's on both my home computer and my work one.
I have attached a screen shot of my current view of thesite.org, although the issue occured with the latest stable release of opera, I checked and the same issue is occuring with the latest version of MSIE as well.
With IE thesite looks screwed up beyond belief unless I engage compatability mode, then it looks exactly the same as the screenshot I took from the Opera.
This didnt appear to be...
I have tried several times over the last few weeks to post pictures in the creative forum in the Whatcha Making thread but everytime it says "error on page". I want everyone to see my duck :)
Samsung Galaxy S II (Android)
for the last two days any of the threads i open to read only half comes up and it takes ages for the rest to show if it shows at all. The boards are super slow too. Is this happening to anyone else?
Seriously it's taking an Ann Widdicombe to load any page? Hosting issues?
Because all other pages work at normal speed (1 second) for me. It took about 3 mins to load this "post a new thread page" put it that way...
Have you ever considered using Tapatalk? It's free to install in a forum and although the mobile app itself isn't free I think it's cheap and useful. It also works a lot better than the mobile skin, to be honest.
This doesn't complete properly on one of the questions. The question is this:
When you select certain options (I disagreed on 2 I think and on 1 strongly disagreed) the others I agreed. Selecting in that format caused the survey to just loop around that question, kept asking me for "ways to improve". When I changed my options to be a bit more positive (or "neither" good or bad) it finally...
