You spoke and it was thus: due to popular demand and to celebrate Pride month, we're delighted to launch our new Gender & Sexuality forum!

Why not head over now and take a look around. Make sure you look through the guidelines (and add your own suggestions) and read all about the history of Pride

  • Hi

Hi I'm Katie I'm 27 and really lonely I have a few friends online but other than that I have no friends that I can do things with, I have disabilities that prevent me from working however I do go to a visually impaired drama group they are nice people but all live too far from me and don't drive (for obvious reasons). I'd like to be to be friends with my neighbour/landlord because he seems quite lonely too and he seems quite shy but I haven't got a clue how to make friends with him if he would even want to be friends I'm really down at the moment because of it all I hope people can understand

    Hi Katie,

welcome to the mix perhaps you could make a thread on the boards about how to make friends? Your drama group sounds good. Perhaps you can ask your neighbour if he would like to have a coffee/drink with you and then go from there.

Hope to see you around the boards

Hey Katie, and welcome to the boards.

Feel free to create a thread about the loneliness you're talking about over in Health & Wellbeing or Sex & Relationships (whichever you feel it fits with).

I'm Mike, one of the moderators you'll see floating around. Happy posting!

        Hiya Katie,

Welcome to the boards!! I'm Eleanor, 14, and completely understand this what you're feeling. As Mike and Jelly suggested, it's absolutely okay to make a specific thread on these feelings of loneliness.

        See you around!
