Post of The Month (July)

Aidan is our Post of The Month winner voted by the community for the following post:

"Hey Lucie,

You say you're still on medication and have had lots of therapy? Maybe it's a matter of revisiting old coping techniques and anything else like that, that therapy taught you?

And Drea is absolutely right! Even someone with everything material that they could ever want isn't insusceptible to mental illness. Any sex, race, age, class; it doesn't discriminate...

  • How-to Create an Avatar

    What is an avatar?

Avatars are images that you may choose in your profile. They are displayed next to your username on all posts that you make.

    Choosing an Avatar

Before you add your Avatar to your profile, you need to choose or create a suitable image. This image can be a maximum of 200 pixels wide and 200 pixels tall. Once you have chosen an image and resized it, you're ready to go.

    How to add/edit your avatar

    1. Click on your username right at the top of the page, then click on 'My Profile'

    2. When you see your profile page, hover your mouse over your current avatar (the image above your username on the left). A blue 'Edit Avatar' button should appear. Click on it. You'll see three options:

    a) browse your computer and upload an avatar, or
    b) enter the URL of an avatar (if you've found an image on the internet), or
    c) choose the default avatar.

    3. Once you have done this, click on 'Continue' at the bottom - your Avatar should now be live on the boards, on every one of your posts.

Can I use an animated GIF?

Yes, but it can be tricky to get them to work. If you try and resize a GIF with VBulletin, it will remove the animation.

You'll need to either save the image or copy the URL, then visit a special GIF editing website such as GifsGifs. Once you've cropped and/or resized it, save it and you should be able to use that version as your avatar.

If the file size of your GIF is too big it still won't work, so make sure it's not something too complicated and flashy. Basic ones should work totally fine.
