  • Consequences of not going full time education?

Does anyone know what the consequences are if I don't go to college? I'm currently looking into doing my GCSEs there alone and if I can't I'm just thinking of just canceling this current course I'm going to start and doing one next year. either way if I can do my GCSEs its not as many hours as they want you to do so I'll still lose my child tax credit which my mum doesn't mind, but is there anything worse that could happen?

    Hey Lane,

So I started college this year, but I really wasn't ready for it and soon dropped out. Going back this September, hopefully!

Nothing ever happened to me really. I have to pay more for glasses and my prescription and dental stuff (the stuff you normally have discounted or free if youre in employment or full time education) but that's about it really. So if you do have any medical problems, that's something to think about.

Another thing I'm concerned about myself is the gap in the timeline on your CV, I've done nothing for a year so that'll look bad to employers. It might be better for you because you're still doing GCSEs, but I haven't got a clue.

Sorry I couldn't be much help, anyway good luck with whatever you do Lane!

Thanks Aidan! I'm thinking of doing my GCSEs online and still doing my volunteer work at the same time, I just wanted to make sure there was no like fines or anything
