Post of The Month (July)

Aidan is our Post of The Month winner voted by the community for the following post:

"Hey Lucie,

You say you're still on medication and have had lots of therapy? Maybe it's a matter of revisiting old coping techniques and anything else like that, that therapy taught you?

And Drea is absolutely right! Even someone with everything material that they could ever want isn't insusceptible to mental illness. Any sex, race, age, class; it doesn't discriminate...

  • About this forum (Home, Law & Money)

This is the user guide to Home, Law & Money
but you should also remember the
    registration rules you agreed to
    when joining these boards.

Welcome to Home, Law & Money

This is the place to talk about any issues around housing or your home (buying, selling, renting, moving in or out); anything about specific legal and consumer issues (can a shop do this, should they have arrested me this way, will I go to court as a witness, can I sue my neighbours for painting their house pink); and finally money (what's the best credit card, should I have got a loan, is the pound in my pocket still worth the same as it was yesterday).

What doesn't really fall into the remit here are issues that would be better suited to other forums. For example, the law around drugs fits better in the drug forum, debates around new laws will still go into Politics & Debate etc.

Don't forget that if you have a specific question about benefits, you may find a specialist service useful such as the following:

The Money Advice Service - free and impartial money advice including a webchat and helpline
    Turn2Us - includes a handy benefits calculator
Your local Citizens Advice Bureau - they can do a full benefits check and provide legal advice, they also have webchat and a helpline.
