Maspalomas - Gran Canaria

Has anyone been there? what did they think of the resort?

me and my friend are debating booking and going for a week on saturday as we have found a really good deal.

we just want a week of rest and relaxation really as we have just finished uni and the resort looks quiet but with a few bars & resteraunts dotted about.

Any reason we shouldnt go?

oh and what are the food and drink prices in gran canaria like? we arn't feeling rich so will be on a tight budget.

We went to Puerto Rico when I was about 14/15 which is just round the coast, and it was pretty cool. I don't know what the night life was like (except the crappy family bars with connect 4 in them) though. I'm pretty sure I went to Maspalomas. Is that where you fly in?

im not too sure really. its just a small town so i doubt it but i could be wrong.

does anyone know what the food prices on the island are like generally?
