At 3am they woke me up dancing around making a load of noise.

Then they woke me up this morning playing the bloody spice girls full blast!!!

Now, I can't do my fuckin work as they are playing Atomic Kitten full blast and its that noisy I can't concentrate.

They are like this all the time and the music is normally on in the day too.

I seriously think I'm going to scream and punch a few pillows at this rate.

Oh Stacey I can sooooo relate! The flat right under mine they're always putting music really loud, and late on weeknights too. And now they've calmed down a bit, but the flat right above me now have been hammering non-stop for about a year now! I'm not kidding! At first I thought they were doing some work to the flat, but now I think the guy's a carpinter or something.. its fucking non-stop!

I can totally relate to this also! but instead of the flat above its some of our flat mates, constantly playing trance music, arghhhhh, does my head in, smoking all the time, being noisy all night, having loads of friends over, they don't listen to us when we complain to them :( ahwell, not long left in Uni halls :p

I think I'm going to the landlord today. I mean, I'm not usually a person to complain about noise but today has been ridiculous. Luckily, the music is turned off now but its been awful since last night.

Bypass the landlord and go straight to the police. They will give them a warning.

It might also help to keep a 'My-Neighbours-Are-Doing-My-Head-In-With-Their-Shit-Loud-Music" diary. Log times and length of disturbance.

Check with other neighbours to see if they are also disturbed by it and will back up your complaint.

If they don't heed the warning then call the police again (Even better if this is at Silly-O'clock) and they'll call them another visit.

It's what ASBO's were invented for.

I've just popped out to have a word with my landlord and I need to put the complaint in writing. Apparently, there has been loads of complaints about that particular flat from all the surrounding flats. Hopefully, once I put it in writing, something will be done about it.

Not exactly. We've banged on the walls and stuff but they turn it up. I feel too intimidated to confront them to be honest. They must have had complaints in the past as we once got a card posted through our door saying sorry about the noise but they obviously don't mean it as they keep doing it.

i'd go and ask them, even if they don't listen at least you can say you've tried. maybe go with a few other people.
