My fella is on about buying a house, I doubt he'll get a mortgage with his money - he earns about 22 grand a year, so how much will he be able to lend?? My sister went to see about a mortgage and she was allowed about 85/90 grand, I dont think she is on as much as my fella tho!
If anyone has got usefull info or websites I will be very greatful!!! (I have been on estate agents sites and they really dont help me  )
Thanks :)

most lenders do up to 3.5x for first time buyers, this is what i have discovered when looking myself, you might struggle to get that much tho, probably more likely 3x.
i also have heard of someone who got 115% mortgage with northern rock.

This would probably go down better in the home money and law section of the forum.

if he's a graduate, look at some graduate mortgages. some lenders will go up as much as 5x your salary if you have a decent deposit.

What's a 115% mortgage anyway? I think my mum is going to get me a flat to get me onto the property ladder so :thumb:
