yay microwaves :hyper:
though its always disturbed me how something that takes 25 minutes in an oven can be cooked in 3 minutes in a microwave... sometimes make me not want to eat what came out of it
Ours is good enough. Most packaging out at the moment covers our microwave as its recommended times. raa.

However, I don't recommend putting a pizza on the laptop keyboard and closing the lid to cook it!

Totally.
Just try cooking a ready-meal in it - everytime you try it doesn't touch the lasagne but the plastic melts!

Except Chicago town pizzas, mine makes the base enitlrey dry and solid.
Our uni oven is shite. Takes 3 days to warm up and once its warmed your food is burnt within 5 minutes. Guaranteed. We do have too 800w microwaves and a grill though :D

hmm, that's a point. My microwave has a grill too- now I can leave my grill pan washing up a little longer... yeah, dirty, dirty, lazy sod!

At home we don't have a microwave. Being at uni is the first time I've used one!

Our uni microwave is 700W but i'm sure it's got a weird idea of how long 5 mins is - feels more like 8.
Our uni oven is crap. It takes 2 hours to warm up and then somehow generates black smoke from whatever you put in there - including nothing at all.
However, there's no chance of them replacing it unless the thing blows up (like another kitchen's oven did the other day) as the halls are being demolished at the end of the year. Personally i'd like to speed the whole thing up with one of those bombs Steven Seagal detonates in a microwave in 'Under Siege'... if I thought it might actually finish cooking the damn thing...

Mines only 850W, but I bought a new washing machine recently.
This bad boy spins up at 1600rpm. Beat that!!
