When I went to uni last september, all my medical records were sent from my home practice to the uni health service, which is now my registered practice. Therefore, to get an appointment at home during the summer I have to go as a tempoary resident. I was with the practice for about 15 years before I went to uni and I know all 4 doctors at the practice. Only one of them is very helpful, the other 3 make you feel as if you're wasting their time.... so my question is, basically, as a temporary resident can I request to see a particular doctor as any 'normal resident' can, or as an 'imposter' will they not let me choose? Obviously I'll be able to ring them tomorrow, but was wondering if anyone could put my mind at rest so I'm not worrying about it tonight- I really need to get an appointment. Thanks.
