Went to see Sin City last night. It was brilliant! Anyone else been to see it yet? I liked the first story with Mickey Rourke's character best.

Yeah, I saw it the night it was released over here. It was great. My mate who went with me thought the number of attacks on the male parts (this is me trying to be polite) was a bit cringe worthy. For some reason he didn't like my idea of going to see it a second time to count how many times some guy is hurt that way.

And as for this being "done" before apollo_69. Be fair, it's only just come out in the uk and that other thread was from about two months ago.

That's a bit far to go just for a film, loads of cinemas in Edinburgh mate :p (god, I'm funny...)

Methinks I'll go see it this week, saw a trailer last week and it looks snazzy.

Thought it was pretty good, loved the comics more than the film, where the mysoginy was a bit too on the surface. Clive Owen was dreadful, editing out the shot of the Spartan just before the big massacre was a mistake, Rodriguez still can't frame a set up shot to save his fucking life, Mickey Rourke was a class act, they picked three too similar stories from the seven or so available and it looked superb.

Absolute class, best film Ive seen in a long time. Especially with all these comic book "adaptions" they have out at the minute. That crap could make you gag cough Xmen....

My parents went to see it the other day. They were very disapointed since they were the generation that grew up with comics. They actually walked out they said it was so naff. I think from what I've heard that it was just a cool way of trying out new graphics and showing off what they've learnt how to do.

Yah seen this again recently since i saw it on the USA release. Still loved it, absolutly beautiful looking. great achievement. Very close to the original novels as well which is to be expected with frank millers heavy involvement. i urge anyone who likes this to go out and get the books, well worth it.
