gutted.
Contact ebay / paypal / the buyer - you should have taken his details on payment.

I agree. Yes, it is pretty serious, but face it. It is gone 8pm on a Friday night-people who work to deal with these things probably won't be back until Monday morning or something.
Also, lots of people go in Computers, Net and Tech regularly. No Excuse.

Well, the only things you can do are contact ebay, paypal and if they money has only *just* gone from your bank account you could try and put a stop on it. Otherwise there isn't that much you can do methinks.
EDIT: I also agree. This should so be in the Computer forum. It isn't a life/death situation that needed an urgent urgent response. Just like MoonArcanum says.

However if you had started a new thread in Anything Goes about getting ripped off and then telling your story and asked other people if they had ever been ripped off and what they did then it could go in anything goes...couldnt it.
So the moral of my posting is make an excuse when you post in the wrong forum :p

Did she pay by Paypal? If so she can get her money back. She just needs to log into Paypal and follow the instructions etc.
If not, she's fucked. Thankfully I've never been ripped off though I so easily could have been when I paid over £100 for front row tickets for my parents to see Elton John.

See, that is different as asking personal experiences are general chit chat stuff. Whereas this thread was "I was ripped off by EBAY (key word here ;) ) what do I do?"
Also, I think it is the whole "OK, I know this is the wrong forum but .... " that pisses people off. Especially when he said that he "needed" a quick reply but blatantly didn't.
:p

go through paypal, or ask for the person's details through ebay and ring them.
