Folks,
very quick question for which your help would be hugely appreciated. I've been looking for a decent pair of ripped jeans but cant find any i like or look good on me, so i thought i would take a pair of my jeans and rip them myself. I'm conscious that you have to do it properly otherwise it looks like u had a fight with some scissors!
so, any advice.......

hmm i think you've missed the boat on this one, arnt ripped jeans going out now? i personally wouldnt bother, just get a nice pair of normal jeans.

if you are set on it, just go for it, the scruffier the better.

My dad back in the day where ripped jeans was a first, he used to get a rock, and rub it over the knee area until it started to fray. Rubbing your jeans onto a nice hard bit of concrete seemed to do the trick...

However, you may want to experiment on a spare pair of jeans first

Are you looking for the worn holes, rather than the torn holes look? I believe my cousin attacked her jeans with a pumice stone at one point during her youth, but that involves a lot of hard work...

sandpaper and cheese graters :thumb:

scissors will obviously rip your jeans, but they will look just like you cut them yourself. abrasive things give a better worn look.

but do it outside. the amount of fluff you'll create is quite amazing.

Ripped jeans have been embraced by the faceless, crap-mohican sporting, metrosexual horde which means that it's time to drop them.

I ripped a pair of jeans at the knee the other week when i was really drunk(was really annoyed). So the other day i got the cheese grater and did some greating over one of the pockets and opened up the knee slit a bit more and they are starting to look really good. Remember do not over do it otherwise they too crap.

Either her or that god-awful Brodie Dalle/Armstrong. What a cow. She was only using her husband's name to get famous.

Regardless of who it was, it's a cool haircut.

They can both fuck right off. Although Pink does have one saving grace. She went to see The Dillinger Escape Plan.

why?

that means you still let them dictate what you may or may not wear.
