I've got 2 icons on my Desktopt hat won't let me remove them. I put them there and I cannot remove the bloody things. Keeps telling me that it's in use.

Restart the computer? I've had that before...and that's my only suggestion!

Did you put them there? What are they? They could be part of a spyware program, unlucky if so, then you have to spend a year raping the registry and googling for unistall programs.
If not, crtl alt del and end the task they refer to under processes rather than in programs.
Hope that helps...

Yes I put them there. Fake installers for games to see how many online players it has before buying them. ASE picks them up and then it will act as if I have the games installed and can see how many servers/players are online.

There is a superb program I use at home - so I've forgotten the name - that adds a right click option 'remove at boot' to the menu for any file or icon. Will get rid of anything.
Try searching for 'remove at boot' or 'remove on restart'
If you can't find anything I'll let you know tomorrow what it's called.
