Hey all,

First time post so bare with me! :-)

I've fancied this girl for ages (since 6th form - about 2 years ago!!!). Been casual 'mates' for a year or too - but only really casual friends. (Don't have her home number or even been to her house sorta thing).
We've been with each other once when we we're both drunk at a nightclub ages ago, but recently we've seen each other for drinks a couple of times.

The body signs are there, as are the flirty hints. I asked her if we should take it to the next level and actualy "go out" offically.
She basically said that she really likes me, but she doesn't want to ruin our friendship.

Personally, I think it would work out really well. Do I just take it on the chin, or try any persuading (hints appreciated!) or what? I really, really like her, but am I letting this get in the way of a big "NO!" or is she really just a bit nervous about our friendship and needs some reassurance?

HELP! :-)

Cheers,

Steve.

Blah blah. Ask her out. You'll clearly regret it if you don't.

When you're 90, do you want regrets?

You say 6th grade was two years ago...Which means you are in 8th grade, so your about 14 right? What are you doing getting drunk at a nightclub at 14!!??
I am 16 and the first time i ever drank was about a week ago. Dont try to grow up so fast! And just ask her out. Its not really that big of a deal!

6th form, not 6th grade.

Sixth form = 12th - 13th grades; 16/17/18 years old.

Hey Guys,

Thanks for the replies. Yeah, i'm 19, 6th Form is a bit like collage in the UK.

I have already asked her out (as I was getting the signs), but she said that whilst she likes me too, she doesn't want it to ruin our friendship / relationship now.

Problem is that I'm crazy about her!!! Do I just take it on the chin that it's not gonna happen, or does anyone think that a chat or something could help persuade her?!

Cheers,

Steve.

Go for it 100% I'd say. Your lucky in the fact that you've fancied her for ages and she hasn't rejected you totally so there is still a chance and if theres a chance, you have to try and take it.

she's already said no. ok so she didnt actually say 'no i dont want to go out with you' but she said no, if she wanted to go out with you she would have said yes, she wouldnt say 'i dont want to ruin our friendship' that doesnt mean 'keep pestering me and i'll say yes' if you keep pestering her she will probably not want to hang out with you anymore
