Is it possible to take a pregnancy test fairly quickly after having unprotected sex, and will it be accurate etc?? Is it viable to use it before taking the morning after pill to test if you are pregnant?.

no, not that quickly. in order to get a reliable result, you're best doing a test a week after a period was due (usually 3+ weeks after unprotected sex).

by the time you're pregnant, it's too late for the morning after pill. for it to be most effective, you need to take it as soon as possible after sex.

Pregnancy tests only work when you've missed your period, not straight after sex.

it takes between 2-3plus weeks for enough HCG pregnancy hormone to be produced to be detectable. you should always take the morning after pill as soon as possible after unprotected sex.

My best friend's test showed up about 10 days later.This was the $20 First Response test.
