When you lot dress up to out, do you dress with the intention of getting male/female attention or do you dress for your self and not anyone else?

A combination - I dress so that I look good, and so feel good when I go out...
But obviously I don't mind if the opposite sex like how I look either! ;)

I like to think i look good in my own eyes.
I try on different outfits to see whats most flattering but i guess at the same time i want to be wearing something appropriate.
More then to impress a guy i think i probably dress to fit in.

I would never deliberatley, dress purely for the attention of men, i tend to dress in an outfit i think looks nice and trendy and flatters me. However, i'm not going to deny if i know i'll be bumping into a love interest or even an ex i try that little bit harder to dress to be noticed! :flirt:
And at the end of the day, who doesn't like the attention!! :naughty:

Bit harder for lads i reckon to dress up to get attention. Not like i got any shorty skimpy skirts to show off my beautiful long legs :)
I myself just tend to wear a decent shirt or top with some jeans and shoes or trainers. Like most people i just dress in stuff i feel comfortable with.

I dress in what I think looks nice.
If I'm going to meet my boyfriend I like to look nice for him too.
When I was single and going out I don't think I ever deliberately dressed to get male attention. I wore what I thought was fashionable and looked good on me, male attention was always a bonus. Then again I didn't go out purely to pull a bloke...just to have a good time

Dress for how i feel comfortable or what mood i'm in on the night. Sometimes i feel like wearing a skirt, sometimes i don't. As long as i don't stand out for the wrong reasons like some people then i'm not bothered. I don't like attracting the wrong sort of attention to be honest.

a bit of both really. in the past it would've been purely for male attention as i didn't have a very high opinion of myself but now i feel better about myself and have a boyfriend, i don't feel the need to impress anyone other than him or myself. i'd still make an effort though, but only for me. plus it is good to get the odd compliment every now and again.

I dress for myself mainly then I guess if I feel like crap then its for respect and attention. But, I got the attention part covered now, so its more for me then respect.
For myself really, i feel better knowing i look presentable and people aren't secretley laughing at me. When i dress up my boyfriend likes it, but then he also likes it when i don't.
Maybe it's different if your single.

As a general rule lads dress to impress the ladies, and ladies dress to impress the ladies.

No way. Not at any time does the opinion of males come into it.

That is so true, I'm far more worried what other women think of me when I go out, especially in certain places I go, but I do find myself criticising the way others dress. I dress in what flatters me and what I feel comfortable in, and also what my boyfriend likes me in as its nice to make an effort for him every so often.

I hear what your saying about making an effort for him, my gf did that for my b-day, and she was the most gorgeous female walking down the street. But, if you have a bf, what is the point of competing with other females? I mean why care about their opinions, if you don't even know them?

I dress up for myself. it's the old cliche "look good, feel good" and if i look good, then it's flattering to get appraising glances from blokes. sometimes when i know i'm gonna see someone i really like, i'll make a special effort with make up or something.

I dress more so for others i would say b/c i know what i look like and feel comfortable in gowns and sweats to me its all the same. But since other mainly judge you on looks ( at least at 1st) i dress more so for them

I dress for myself. If I like what I'm wearing then that's more important than if others like what I'm wearing, although if they do then that's a bonus.
