what is less damaging to health , normal ciggarettes or rolling tobacco ones,

normal cigs have alot of chemicals, and i am guessing rolling tobacco smoked with a filter would be less harmful, as it doesnt have all the chemicals in.

i dont know i'm just guessin, does anyone know? :nervous:

rolling tobacco smoked with a filter
if you made them really thin, i guess it would be better for you than cigarettes.

well , rollies r slim and smaller than cigs anyway, becuase of the size of the rizla and most rollie filters which r bought r much slimer than the cigs filter , i'm not really talking of quantity here ,

i just mean in general is it healthier to be smokin normal cigs or rollie cigs , if its rollie i just wonder why so many people smoke normal cigs as its more expensive, and u get say a pack of 20 , and from a small bag of rolling baccy you could get so much more smokes and much cheaper.

Their both as damaging as eath other, you can still end up dead from which either you smoke. Most poeple don't smoke rollies because they taste like shite.

A little birdy told me that the glue on the Rizla is more harmful than the baccy inside a rolly.

the health benefits of rollies over machine fags is negligable.

Its like being shot symultaneously with a rocket launcher, rifle and machine gun...just take away the rifle and its about that much less lethal

You could buy those little filters for rolly cigs.

I'd put you into my sig, but to be frank if I did it to everyone who said that the list would be rather long, one doesnt want to brag.

really? and where did you get your statistics from?

I was talking more out of personal experience, you talk to smokers and a surprising amount of them are in the process of giving up, cutting down or are just about to quit.

Smoking has become socially unacceptable so people feel guilt about it so they are always just about to quit.

I know a guy who's well into rock climbing and the army and so on. What he does is he buys a bag of rolling baccy and smokes it in a few days then just stops for a few weeks and then buys another, smokes it fast, stops, etc etc... it's basically because he can't smoke all the time and still be as fit, so he smokes in weird cycles. Very strange to watch.

i understand what you're saying about the guilt thing, that's very true.

I've always found that quite odd though, why feel guilty, its a legal past time.

Strange how we can harrass smokers but not fat people, why is that? You would say to someone who smokes 'Why dont you give up?' but you wouldn't say 'Why dont you stop eating?'

Yes this is a BIG peev of mine. The amount of hassle I get for smoking - it's my choice! Grrr. I used to smoke rollys but its just I can't be arsed anymore. The most healthy thing to do is not smoke at all!

I'm always tempted to say to fat people that they should diet, but I dont have the heart.
Now if someone tells me "smoking kills" I say "So does getting hit by a bus" seems to shut them up.

If you're concerned about your health then there really isn't a 'healthy option' when it comes to smoking - apart, of course, to not smoke at all. I am not trying to get on the anti-smoking brigade - I understand the social arguments discussed, but the original question was about what was healthier. It's a little like comparing MacDonalds to KFC!!

If what hellfire seems to say in anything goes is right, millions do.

But near enough hundereds of thousands are killed by traffic accidents.

Yes, but a fat person isn't forcing me to eat and suffer from a heart attack. People object to smoking, because it affects people who are trying to protect their own health. If I was sat next to someone on the bus eating a burger and knew that a proportion of the fat sloshing through their arteries was also going to be finding it's way through mine, I'd object to that too.

Yes, fair enough, if I smoke in your company (I dont) and you dont like it thats rude. But I'm not talking about that, just admiting your a smoker allows others to have a go at you.

Being overweight is seriously bad for your health, but you wouldnt sit at a table and say 'you're really fat, why dont you stop being fat'.

There is a double standard here.

Oh, and about 3500 people are killed on British roads each year.
