Fot about two weeks I've had this really uncomfortable feeling in my stomach. It's been waking me up at night and making me very uncomfortable. i thought it was heartburn and then someone suggested trapped wind. Whatever it is it's beginning to get worse. I found out that it's more above my stomach than actually in my stomach but it's still scaring me :(

ny ideas on what it could be?

Where exactly is it, and do you have any other symptoms?

If a pain wakes you up at night, it's worth investigating. Does it actually wake you, or are you just not able to sleep because of it?

Remember your stomach is just under your left ribs so is it your stomach or where everyone thinks their 'stomach' is, i.e. around your navel??

Have you taken anything like rennies, remegel etc? Do you eat or drink anything before you go to bed? Does anything take the 'pain' away? Is it 'pain' or just an uncomfortable feeling?

It's died down again now. It actually wakes me up. I don't know anything that could take it away. I haven't tried any of those.

Possible but you're a bit young. Are you a drinker and/or a smoker?

I will never smoke. I absolutely hate the smell. I only drink every couple of months, and even then I don't get really drunk.

Could be a number of things, a stomach bug, iritable bowel syndrome, gastroenteritus, you really should see the doc.

Sounds like the pains I was getting a few months back. I went to the docs and he did a load of blood tests then referred me to hospital for an ultrasound scan. Turns out I have gallstones and will be going into hospital in a few weeks to get my gall bladder took out.
Am not saying thats what you've got but your best going to the docs to get checked out. The scan and blood tests will find whats wrong and you can get it sorted fairly quickly.
