What did you think of it?
A two hour anti-smoking advert I reckon :D Still, it gives a good idea of how difficult it can be to kick the habit.

I reckon it's worthless compared to the Hellblazer (the comic it's based on)
I think taking a blonde londener and turning them into Keanu Reeves is a mistake
It's not too bad if you come to it new

probably true, films rarely live up to the comics though...........i never read hellblazer myself, maybe if you had it ruins it, but i thought keanu played the role well, and thought the film itself was excellent, best film of the year so far........just haven't seen a film quite like it, the whole angels/demons theme was well done.......definitely worth watching.

I loved the film, never read the comic though, but as a stand alone it really does have the makings of a cult classic like the Matrix. Would definately watch a sequel if there was one, I love films that take on angels / demons as real things, and seriously, I think it's a big challenge because you can mess it up so much, but when it comes off seriously, and it's beleivable, I think it can honestly affect the way people think.
The casting was pretty good - Keanu Reeves has just the typecast for this kind of role, however the girl who played Gabriel was rubbish, but she was a minor role really - slightly spoiled it though when she was in some of the pivotal moments and couldn't pull off (the admittedly demanding) character role. Really didn't convince me.
Either way, for the entertainment value, I would recommend it highly to anyone who enjoys action / deep plot films, like the matrix etc.

Thought it was pretty shit actually.
Could spot the ending a mile off when Constantine was talking to Gabriel in the library pretty much at the start of the film. Infact, you could spot pretty much anything waaay before it happened :/
Still, thought I'd give it a chance then it took a severe turn for the worst when he makes a shotgun out of a crusifi ;[

I've never read the comics, but I quite enjoyed the film. I can't say I thought it was quite as good as some of my friends did, as someone has already said, it is a little too easy to work out. Stll, good fun anyway and nicely shot.

I never read the comics and found the film quite boring and predictable, there were parts of it that looked like a group of drama/theatre studies students had put together (althoug the main film was a bit better than that). The theme was done exceptionally terribly I felt although it did have a few good ideas behind it.
