help help help i went to the dentist yesterday and found out i need 2 fillings plud a root from a baby tooth removed from my gum i have a bad fear of both dentists and injections and almost hyperventilated at yesterdays checkup im basically shitting myself now. i was wondering if valium or being hypnotized would be any good as i know i could not go through the procedure in this state of mind as i cryed my eyes out yesterday. i dont like them near me and the sound of the drill freaks me out. :nervous:

I don't know, because I'm not scared of the dentist. I went last week, and I need 3 fillings - I've never had one before and its going to cost me about £200. :o I was more scared of the price to be honest!
I think you need to think about it rationally - they're going to numb your mouth, then you won't feel a thing. You'll feel like you've got a fat lip because your mouth will be all droopy and numb. And afterwards, your teeth will look gorgeous. No problemo!

Hypnosis can definitely help. Ask at the dentists whether they offer it there.
