hi everyone i have a problem thats worrying me...

about 4 days ago i was stayin at my boyfriend's house and noticed what looked like a midgie bite on my arm, the day after i stayed at his again and woke up with about 10 bites on me, some on my arms and some on my lower leg/ankles. the night after that i stayed in my own bed and the next day i had more...about 6 on my thigh in a sort of line and some on my back

i went to tesco pharmacy and he said it could be scabies (mites under your skin) but he couldnt be 100% sure because some of the lumps didnt have holes in for the mite to have burrowed, so he suggested if they didnt go away it might be an allergic reaction to something. anyway he gave me the cream to use

BUT my housemate has had scabies before and said mine dont look like hers, and also i looked on nhs and the picture doesnt look like my symptoms and also theyre not in the common places that scabies usually are. i'm really worried about bed bugs but i havent seen any signs of them. i'm sure something is biting me but i dont know what it can be! no pets in the house or anything...

HELP! WHAT CAN IT BE!! i have no idea and every day i have more itchy bites! have rang the doctor but no appointment for a week. any ideas? please?

sorry for essay... :(

Could be bed bugs. Try hoovering your bed (and no, I'm not taking the piss)

Got to be honest, arms and lower legs and ankles sounds much more like bug bites than scabies, as posionfairy said scabies is much more likely between fingers and toes.

If it does turn out to be bugs then invest in some of the more expensive sprays from a vet rather than what you get in Boots, the cheaper stuff just doesn't work.

Our fact sheet on dealing with creepy crawlies (http://www.thesite.org/homelawandmoney/home/yourplace/creepycrawlypests)

and on scabies (http://www.thesite.org/sexandrelationships/safersex/sexualhealth/pubicliceandscabies)

Great now I can't stop itching

Yeah, change your sheet, vacuum the matress, freeze the pillows, clean your room. All gone, ish.

It's a good time of year to deal with this though, you do not want to wait for the hot weather

you would know if you had bed bugs, are reasonably large etc

does he have any pets? i think its flea bites, although they dont suck your blood like they would an animal they will bite you regardless

he's not affected. i'm very prone to getting bitten by insects and stuff. my grandma suggested a human flea???
