Was just wondering, what would you rather go out with:
A young fit, handsome man/girl
or
A Funny, loving guy/girl but not on the fit/handsome side
----------
Me personally would go out with the Funny/Luving gal.

has to be a mix of the 2... i have to be physcially attracted to them, but if that was all there was to them it wouldnt last as personality is so important too...

I voted "funny/loving". I would prefer someone I could get along with and have a laugh with rather than a trophy boyfriend who was as thick as shit and had no personality.

funny/loving.
good looking keeps you entertained for approximately 3.6 seconds. after that you need someone you can chat to and click with.

I'd rather have the stud. Who needs laughter and intellectual stimulation when you have flexing and babyoil? :chin:
.... Nah. Like everybody else, I'd rather have the funny, loving one.

Funny/Loving obviously.
but i don't think i could be with anyone that found physically repulsive or whatever, there needs too be some eliment of attraction.
Can't i just have a mixture of both dammit.

Funny/loving.
But obviously only if I thought they were sexy.

Funny/Loving.
Notice how everyone's opted for this option on the poll? Nice to see not everyone is looks obsessed.

I voted funny/loving, but if I wasn't physically attracted to a person in the first place then I couldn't go out with them.

I opted for option 1 because I have to be attracted to them physically before I can find them interesting, funny and shit. You just cannot have a relationship with someone without thinking of them as being a little sexy first, unless they have sex appeal. It is possible to be a little facially challenged (not severe disfigurements like Jade Goody's boat race) and have sex appeal.

Yes that's very true.
You can't just opt for one or the other...

Personally, they are both equally important! I'd never get involved with someone i wasn't attracted to but i wouldn't ever get involved with someone who couldn't make me laugh, smile and feel loved!
Sounds like the perfect man i know ,maybe that's why i'm single, lol! :chin:

Probably a mix of both. Although if pushed, it'd be the second one.

Good personality > Good looks. Although good looks help, of course.

For me, its personality everytime. Although looks obviously help! I think personality is far more important, its whats inside that counts...its a cliche, but its true. What the point in going out with a hotty with out a sense of humour or any brain cells? I'd much rather date a smart, funny guy who is average or below average looks than a really hot idiot

Personality is priority..... looks are a bonus..... my bf says ' I happen to have both, she is beautiful, loving and funny and I think i'm the luckiest guy in the world (oh, and shes insane too)' And I think he's lost the plot........

i voted funny/loving... but i'd have to like the way they look...
everyone looks diffeent to everyone else so i could find some guy i thought was totally fit and funny while someone else could think he was a total mong...

 fortunately most of the guys I like, everyone else thinks they ming. Not the case at the moment, but mih.
But yeh, I'd go for funny/loving. But add interesting on that, I need someone I can talk to and listen to and not get bored. That's my most important thing.

Long as therz a spark its all good!
That spark is normally cross between physical n itellectual (sp) factors
Think as long as personality is good, looks arent so important!

I prefer personality over looks a lot. But, yes, there are moments when you are left drooling when a hot girl passes by. It's just lust.
In order to actually fall in love with a girl, she needs to have a nice personality.

Option one, for the very same reason as FDH. I couldn't ever date somebody whose looks were that bad I could cry, and I could never date somebody ultra-fine with a vacuum between the ears.
Trouble with this poll is that it makes those who choose option 1 look like shallow, superficial monsters, and those who chose option 2 are the saints.

I voted funny and loving as the first time I met the guy who is now my boyfriend I didn't think much of him and his looks. he is very funny and I dont stop laughing when I'm with him. He is also loving and caring and as I have got to know him more and more he has become better and better looking and I think he is gorgeous but mainly because his personality shines through. There probably is a limit at which someone's looks would put me off but I'm not looking at the moment as I love my boyf very much!!

I'd say funny & loving but I guess looks come in to it (only ugly and fake people say that looks don't matter :p because let's face it, you are attracted to somebody physically as well as cerebrally)... I mean as shallow as it sounds I wouldn't go out with somebody I didn't find physically attractive in the least, even if they were everything I look for in a person.

Well Mr Brite has all of those qualities.
They have to have all that and be very intelligent too.
I couldnt go with someone less intelligent than me.

Same... I love intelligent people. Intellect is sexy.

I would prefer funny/loving I couldn't go out with a stupid but fit guy.
But I think if you really suit someone you will find them physically attractive as well, it's natural.

yeah, i'd agree with that.
i know in the past i've can have met someone pretty average looking, but because they're funny, or smart, or charismatic, i start to think 'actually, he's pretty hot'.
and equally, if i meet a good looking guy and he's actually a total cock, i'll start to find him less and less physically attractive.

What kaff and lil lal have said, really.
People who are average-looking suddenly start being really cute if you click with them, and people who are good looking but brainless start being ugly if you don't.
Though I have someone who;s gorgeous, funny and intelligent, so I win.
