I use the term slut as a term of endearment in various livejournal communities, but I can't get my head round how people can qualify or try to quantify what constitutes a 'slut'.

I mean, hearing stuff like, "If she has no feelings for the person, she's a slut" or "If she's not in a relationship, she's a slut" may as well lead onto equally irrational statements like "If she got a B in GSCE Maths and likes to take the rubbish out on a Tuesday, she's a slut."

At the end of the day, I don't give a toss what people do in their bedrooms, so long as both parties are consenting, and it's done safely.

They are very hard to find. I find it difficult to get on with girls, yes I like make up and take pride in my apperance but, I just don't like the way some girls behave!! It's like if your not 'perfect' or your with a lad they want your a slut and they look down at you.

If you consider a girl who has had two boyfriends to be a slut, good luck ever finding a girl who isn't a slut in your eyes and is being honest with you. It probably isn't fair to express outright anger at you for having that view since I'm aware of how society and media and a male-dominated society promotes it, but that is absolute double standard rubbish. Women should be free to have as many sexual encounters as they feel comfortable with and should not have to justify it to any man.
