View Full Version : Broadband offers
At the moment I pay £17.99 a month for 56K dialup with BT, but for the same price, you can get a better, faster broadband package. I need the internet daily for fast surfing, research, listening to foreign radio stations, and email. I would like to be able to surf and use the landline phone at the same time.
What Broadband package would people recommend for this? What do you currently have?

I use bulldog (4mg, 30 a month at the mo and no cap) but they are london centered.
You should look at a few things when picking a package -
do you mind having a cap (a monthly download limit) on the package? (bt basic broadband has a pathetically low cap btw, if you go with BT then think about paying a few quid to have a much higher cap)
do you want the modem supplied with the deal or will you buy your own (ebay sells plenty but you might want the security of using the modem a supplier delivers)
do you want anything else as well (cheap phone calls, cable tv)

We use homecall, we do an all in package of unlimited calls to landlines all day and 512 broadband for £25 a month. I think the broadband is £19.99 on it's own but I'm not 100% sure about that. There's no download caps on that either.
