MSN bug?

Computers messing up - not able to open virus checker, do things on various websites (eg - post something on my LJ), and stuff like that. I've just been informed that theres a Messenger bug going around. Anyone know how to get rid of it, or if it isnt that, what do you suggest I do. I'm nowhere near a computer wizz so me needs help :(

When you next boot up the PC, tap the F8 button a few times then boot up in "safe mode" -you should be able to run the virus checker in there. The MSN virus is received by either accepting a file from someone in the .pif format, or clicking a URL which is something.nl - check mess.be
