My systems core temp is 70-75f idle. I saw it in my BIOS, can anyone recommend a program that will monitor it for me?
Also, can I use the fan off my other heat sink to attach to my PC? I have room for another 2.

Um, the fan could be dying. Add a new one.
Is your whole PC fucked???
Heatsink might have become loose/moved slightly. Try taking it off, scrubbing the bottom with cleaning alcohol (Wipe it clean afterwards.) Clean the Processor core too, and reapply good stuff to it.
Seat it back carefully. Rembmer: THIN layer ont the core. But covering it all.
Case air flow is good, try to have intake and output fans front and rear.
Monitoring core? Sisoft sandra does it, but google up a better one, or buy an LCD screen with a probe. :thumb: leet-ness.
Hmm, what processor is it? Clock speed?

It's a brand new PC, just built it to day.
Getting a new monitor soon as well, a decent TFT.
could cook yourself eggs?

Well it's not actually rebooted or anything, and nothing feels that hot.

HEatsink not properly placed/loose is my bet then, re-do it all. :thumb:
70 degrees F is not actually very hot, it's only 21 degrees C, which, in fact, if it's an AMD, is pretty cool.
ETA thought you were talking about processor, but still, it's still not that hot for an ambient temp.

Just realised he said F! Gagh!
Your BIOS show ºF and not ºC? How rare.

My CPU runs at about 45C so you have nothing to worry about :p that was with the heatsink/fan that came with it.

It's ok, 70ish F is about right for my chip, no need to worry.

you could use Speedfan (http://www.almico.com/speedfan.php) for seeing temperatures and stuff :)
