A lot is being made at the moment of which politicians can be trusted. So, do you trust the main political leaders? You can choose more than one in this poll if you wish.

Answering my own question, I don't trust any of them.

I don't trust Tony Blair and I trust Micheal Howard even less. I do have some trust in Charles Kennedy.

Even though Bliar is a cheating, corrupt, patronising, deceiving liar I trust Howard even less.

The way he has pretended to be the champion of that shoulder woman as if he gave a shit about the plights of individual patients or the wellbeing of the NHS is nothing short of disgusting.

I might as well trust King Herod with my child than trust the Tories with the NHS...

The Tories wee in government for 18 years and hardly touched the NHS.

Contrary to what left wing propaganda continually espouses, Thatcher was a very cautious leader.

Sure they hardly touched it, by putting nothing into it and making cuts.....

The Tories were in government for 18 years and hardly touched the NHS. Indeed not. And that was the problem. They didn't do anything with it, apart from cut budgets. The problem with New Labour is while it does put the money in, it interferes too much.

making cuts.....

WHat cuts? Evidence please.

And that was the problem

Oh definitely, they should have privitised the NHS. I was emrely addressing Aladdins lie that the Tories cannot be trusted with the NHS.

And put in place a system like in the USA where the majority of the population are left without expensive health insurance, which can mean people being denied access to the treatment they need?

I'm proud of the fact we have an NHS in this country, not the basket case system in the USA where your health depends on your wallet.

Competetive tendering, which brought about the "Lowest Price Wins" approach to cleaning services and food.

Internal market which brought about "Lowest Price Wins" approach to health care.

Just two policies which have really fucked the NHS. Brought in by... ?

Well, I'm sure you can guess.

Thatcher also killed off our Industry. That was a great move, im sure!

I don't trust Blair, I DEFINATLEY don't trust Howard, I have marginal Trust in Kennady. Soon as he does something dodgey, its gone. He's a politician, after all.

Tories didn't touch the NHS alright. That being the problem. Things like that need good managment. At the moment its the wrong kind of interference, which is just as bad as none.

One of the "rules" I have for life is the following:
Politicians and lawyers are two kinds of people you can never trust unless you know them personally. And even then, it might be better if you don't.
