After a discussion I found out that a friend of mine would not consider it cheating if a girl in a relationship, with a man, has sex with another girl.
Do you think that it is cheating when a partner in a relationship has sex with someone of the opposite sex of their current partner...?
This may not work so well with the bisexuals...?? :chin:

Just to add, I knew someone who believed that it wasn't cheating if you have sex on a different continent
in the context that you have put in your poll (one night stand) it is definitely cheating.
In other contexts, such as swinging or having sex with someone other than your partner whilst your partner is there, or with your partners full knowledge then it's not cheating.
Cheating, no doubt about it. I seriously fail to see peoples logic who don't think it's cheating. :crazyeyes

If you are in a relationship and havesex with anyone other than your partner I would consider it cheating, regardless of gender

Yes of course it is still cheating.
Cheating is when you do something with someone other than your partner, the sex of the other person doesn't come into it.
If its full blown sex then yes but if i was in a relationship and i kissed another girl or maybe even touched her then i wouldnt consider it cheating...
its just experimenting... but i dont think i could do it if the chance arose. so i've contradicted myself.... i think it really depends how deep the relationship is.

heres a way of defining cheating: if u dnt want ur partner to find out or if u knw that they wouldnt like it,whatever u did, then thats cheating.

Relationships should be about trust and commitment. A one-night stand goes against those principles.

It's cheating unless either a) it has been previously agreed with your partner or b) the partner gets to join in.

At new years, 04-05. My girlfriend got a bit drunk, and starting having it off with 2 of her friends (female also)... i wasnt too pleased...
I suppose the idea of lesbians are appealing... But id like to think that my girlfriend is faithful to me. and at the end of the day, shes still had her lips around someone elses.

Yes, definitely. This looks more like a poll for the sake of a poll...

Cheating. There's no other way of seeing it.

But that's different.
Group sex isn't cheating.

I disagree. But if your partner and you are both comfortable with it...

If both you and your partner are both willing participants, then it is not cheating. Similarly if you have permission from your partner.

I'm not interested in arguing it. It's not being faithful, hense cheating, whether your partner knows or not.

it is cheating but if its actually a thing ur man wants you to do, and is in knowledge nothing else is going on, then its okay
otherwise cheating

 I like that one.
But to answer your question, of course it's classed as cheating. Anyone who says it isn't is a cheap scumbag that is just looking for an excuse for them to cheat.

It's too simplistic a view that, IMHO.
To say that couples who openly enjoy wife-swapping, for instance, are cheating on each other is blatently stupid.;

Indeed.
Wife-swapping or group sex is not cheating at all. The only way it could be cheating is if the other partner was somehow being compelled into it, in which case she or he shouldn't be in that sort of relationship anyway.
