i've come across loads of stuff that's quite rocky almost industrial and it's got an amazing d+m beat behind it.

like some of the remixes of kosheen stuff, and nin remixes.....

even some rammstein....bizzarly enough.

I remember a DJ by the name of HMS who used to play a lot in the technodrome at Skelter. It was like a coss between speed gabber and heavy metal - severely evil shit.

Aye that reminds me, you might like some terrorcore stuff. Very hard, fast and industrial sounding. Check out Delta 9 and Hellfish.

I have one song from a band called Shellshock that I got a while ago, and I don't know much about D&B, but to me it seems like a mix between D&B and metal/rock.

I'm in my prime towards the end of a Producer/Scorpio/Hellfish set heading up towards 220bpm. Fucking love it. Stimulants or no stimulants. :D

The Speedfreak has produced some quality speedcore (or whatever you wanna call it) in his time, particularily in love with 'The Return of the Steelfinger'. Savage as fuck speedy mash up, quality stuff (and the perfect tune to end a set on :p)

As for Hellfish, check out the Deathchant label. There's even a section (http://www.bbc.co.uk/radio1/onemusic/exposed/deathchant415p01.shtml) on the BBC website.

I use to thrive on sets in the Technodrome. Scorpio, The Producer and Dolphin played the best sets.

Mark EG and Billy Bunter played some wicked so called "Trancecore" stuff around 98ish.

Trancecore is another name for today's freeform hardcore (fuck knows why it's called trancecore, your regular 'happy' hardcore is more trance influenced than freeform!).

Check out Sharkey, Kevin Energy, AMS, K-Complex, DJ Proteus (big in Finland, infact his hit with Kevin Energy 'London Helsinki Underground' got to number 17 in the national charts!), Oli G & Mozz to name a few.

Labels include Bonkerz/Bonkers, Nu Energy (and all the Nu Energy collective, such as Thin'N'Crispy, Camel Records, etc), Relentless Vinyl, Future Dance.

Freeform is the dogs bollocks, it's not represented anywhere near enough at the big events as it should be. :(

This new 'Upfront Hardcore' i.e Breeze & Styles is definately a long way from the HH being played in the 90's when I was raving every weekend. HH was influenced far more by the dutch gabber scene, where as what we have now is more trance influenced. I wouldn't even call it Happy Hardcore.
Your freeform doesn't sound to different to your hard trance though.

All these sub genres bake my head. Everybody sees the scene differently.

The NIN remix was probably the one done by Aphex Twin (I think) of Closer (which is soooo overplayed around here in clubs).

I got a mate who's in to what she calls cybergoth. To be honest I don't know much about the scene, the people I know who're in to it like VNV nation and Neurotic Fish... If that's what you're on about.

Yo! I first knew about the Shiznit back in 1999 when they had loads of free MP3s on mp3.com. Now that mp3.com is shut, where do you get their music. Alternatively, have they now gone commercial?

There's tonsa kicking about on Ares/WinMX etc.
