I went to see this production in london over the weekend, being theatre i thought it would be crap...........HOW WRONG WAS I!!!!!!

I absolutely loved it, the singing/acting and all the drama was great. Definately wanna to see more shows now.

The only downfall was the alcohol in the theatre bar, £17.60 for 2 double vodka and red bulls lol. round my local that costs about £7.

Love it soooo much! The original London recording (with Kiki Dee) is one of the albums I was raised on!

Only downside... makes me weep buckets!

What was with the Marylin Monroe business? Thats the only bit i didnt understand as to why she was mentioned all the way through.

Iv gotta admit i got choked up, didnt cry though luckily coz my girlfriend and best mate were there too lol.

if you think about the marylin monroe connection i.e when mickey was depressed and prescribed pills like her, how mrs johnson wants to be like her but even her life wasnt perfect

she wants all the bad things to be 'just a film of marylin monroes' i.e not really not happening to her
