well i thought there may not be but other sites what does this clothing if a charity formed a web site and sold clothes etc on it on it it would be much more effictive then a charity shop just down the high street

such as the clothes comes in to the shops say theres 5 shops from the same chairty linked up to the net each place has its own system they add the data in to the systems on to a online database and then you can find straight away what ur looking for and order it

It would be the complete opposite from effective. Seeing as charity shops don't get items in bulk like clothes shops do, only one item of the same type at the one time, it wouldn't be practical for the site to be updated that often.

Descriptions are also misleading, so pictures of each item would have to be taken and uploaded as well.

Also, with the price of most of the items in charity shops, postage and packaging would probably cost more than the actual item itself.

Futhermore, not to generalise, but the average clientele of a charity shop customer doesn't exactly fit the bill of an internet shopper.

eseses, it isn't an online charity shop, but have you heard ofTRAID (http://www.traid.org.uk/)? In their own words -
TRAID stands for Textile Recycling for Aid and International Development. Launched in 1999, TRAID has gone from strength to strength. With its unique link between recycling and fashion retail, TRAID continues to raise money to fund international projects whilst helping to promote recycling and waste reduction in the UK.

Unwanted clothes that are donated are hand sorted or redesigned and reconstructed to make new recycled garments, and sold through our charity shops.

Through its strong branding, TRAID has been successful in gaining a reputation for being innovative and edgy, appealing to a predominantly young, fashionable and environmentally conscious audience.
