On a more serious note though, I really hope the lead singer bloke (the one with one eyebrow) isn't going to pollute the rock world with what will probably be Busted-esque 'rock' music in the same vein as Bowling for Soup et al. :yeees:
Actually, I'd rather they stay together for that very reason!

To be honest, I heard this news this morning on the radio, and frankly, i hope "Fightstar" fail miserably. If they make it big on the back of his fame, obtained through selling his soul to the fucking record companies, then I lose all faith in music fans everywhere. However if they tour relentlessly, doing small pub venues for a few years, release an album to very select critical acclaim, before continue to tour, followed up by a "make it big" single which NME loves then yes. They will have earnt my respect. But for now. I shun you Fightstar. (are they actually any good?) Yes, Busted have caused me a lot of personal pain. I dont actively choose to listen to their music, but if its forced down my fucking throat by a shit-haemorraging media...goodness, i'm cheerful today

I couldn't give two hoots if a band I like wins critical aclaim, as long as I like them, which is probably what Busted fans think, which is what tears me apart! :no:

Music snobs bemoan teenyboppers who lap up whatever bands in Smash Hits, but there's the same attitude with "real music" fans and NME. It's like there's some race to be the first to be listening to whatever band happens to be said to be cool by NME, and it's the most moronic thing ever.
People moaned that pop bands never played their own instruments or wrote their own songs, but when they do then they get slagged more than ever.
Fact of the matter is that Busteds music is far more memorable to anyone who likes it than some crappy rock band (nope, I don't give a shit about credibility) that although their music is boring as fuck, they've got credibilty on their side so they must be great!
Off to get pissed and cry in a gutter :crying:

My friend went to see that Charlie's band last night and apperently they sound very much like InMe which is quite random but very much not busted-esque!
