Graphics Card Driver

I formatted my PC and when it was back up at a clean start, it screamed at me for drivers. I tried to install my motherboard drivers but the setup files were saying 'Motherboard not supported' so I left them for now. Then I tried installing my Gainward Geforce MX440 card, which had no effect until I rebooted and it went blank.
Uninstalled display driver and now screen is all slow and laggy (especially when scrolling). Why isn't the driver working?

Yeah I have and no help there. Even the help file on the motherboard cd is full of ingrish :|
