for my last job i worked in a clothes shop with about 6 or 7 other girls. sometimes i wud be doin 10 hour shifts and i'm 17, i've heard that its illegal for any1 under 18 to work 8 or more hours in one day. one day wen i was doin a 10 hour shift i only got one half hour break for my dinner at 4pm. my mum foned up the head office bout all this and the bloke who owned the shop was arguing with her. thank god i dont work there anymore!!

Yes, it's illegal. You also can't work more than 39 hours a week, and should have a twelve hour break between shifts, if I remember the sign above the clock machine correctly. :/
