Gawd, it's going to look like I work for this place or something but I don't! :/
Are you anywhere near a Sallys cause I was looking at these in there the other day - £19.99 they were I'm sure. Ceramic ones. Or professional standard steel ones for a tenner.
ETA: There's a branch in Lincoln, at Clifton Park. But not one in Norwich. :(
thanks miffy but i dont think theres one near me :(
i live in a crappy small town and im getting some tomorrow so i wont have much choice

I have the pink carmen girls ones with are about 14.99 i think, really good too, and they've got this guide thing around the hot part so you get a good curl. Don't think they're ceramic though.

They are so crap! I've tried making my hair lushus and curly so many times with that thing and by the time I've finished the first section of hair I curled is straight again :|

That happens with mine too! I've got the Carmen girls ones I like them and the curl they give but it drops out way too easily.

I got the carmen angel curls (http://www.currys.co.uk/martprd/store/cur_page.jsp?BV_SessionID=@@@@1927633232.110392315 3@@@@&BV_EngineID=cceiadddekhefdfcflgceggdhhmdgml.0&page=Product&sku=841517&category_oid=-13199&fm=null&sm=null&tm=null) from currys the other day. They curl really nicely, and they are ceramic. The curls dropped out after a few hours, but I think some extra hold hairspray is in order. For £13 im not complaining.

 I found the same thing. They worked better the first time I tried them on day old hair, rather than the 2nd time on freshly washed. I find decent hairspray keeps the curls in fine.
