fao: anyone thats ever broken their wrist

I just had my cast off today, after 8 weeks, and it hurts like hell! :( I flinch every time i move it. The doctor said it would be sore for a while, but im just wondering how sore its sposed to, did anyone else get really bad pain, and how long did it last?

i did ages ago, can't exactly remember how long, about 2 weeks of slight pain i think

I was in pain for a few weeks when I smashed my arm up, it recovers slowly.

I did last year, It was really tender the first few days after having the cast off, and it still felt a bit funny for a while after that, but it should be back to normal in no time. Some of the soreness will be from not using some of the minor muscles.

When I broke my wrist, it hurt after I got my cast off because they had put the cast on so tight. There was a huge difference in my wrists. It got better with pain meds and time.

I have unluckily broke both my wrists (right 3 times and left twice) It does hurt after the cast comes off because the muscles have not being used for so long then they sort of freeze up and you need to SLOWLY work them again. this will hurt and the wrist feels funny anyway because it is newly mended. 8 weeks is a very long time to ahve a cast on it is normally 6 weeks and then Surgery?
