every 3 or 4 of days for about 2 weeks now i've been getting this nasty itchy rash from just upbove my waist to my bra line. it's really weird, it doesn't happen when i wear a surtain thing, or eat a surtain thing, it's not all the time. and it's contained in one area.

sounds really weird i know.

and i'm sure it's not a flare up of my exema, because it's a different kind of rash.

any ideas as to what it is?

stress possibly?

I doubt it.

What does it look like?

Is it raised and lumpy or smooth and red?

Eczema can look different depending on where you get it. The eczema on my thighs looks different to the eczema on my inner elbows for example.

Perhaps you could try using some eczema cream if you have any lying around, or failing that an emollient cream.

I had somthing that soundesimilar once, was just a rash on my stomach that would flare up for a couple of days at a time and then go away for a while.

i went to the doctors and they said that it was a skin infection that is common in teenagers so there was no need to worry (sorry i cant remember the name) but they gave me somthing to clear it up (some type of tablet ) and it worked so i suggest that if it continues you go and see your doctor

Sounds like it could be a reaction to a washing powder - the tummy would get more exposure than elsewhere. Was it a new top or have you changed washing powder recently?

i'm a student, you think i have money for a new top?

and i haven't changed washing powder either.

i put lavender cream on it, and it's gone down a lot, but if it comes up again i'll go to the dematologist.

I had a rash a couple of months ago called pityriasis rosea. Anyone heard of it? It was totally random, these red spots appeared all over my chest and arms, then disappeared after a few weeks without any treatment at all. Bizarre.
