I've got a couple of stitches in my hand from something that happened a couple of weeks ago.
Is it OK to remove them myself, or do I need to pester the doctor?
Cheers.

doesn't have to be a doctor - nurses can do them. but i would opt for the healthcare professional over self removal. oh yes.

Ah.
Would NHS Direct be able to tell me where my nearest drop-in medical centre is, then?

Did they not tell you about removing them when they put them in?
Some stitches are soluble, ie they come out on their own. But I would have thought they would have told you what happens next.
