I saw an advert across the road on a bus stop tonight with the caption "Playstation 2 Reborn" and a picture of an uber thin PS2, any details??

My old ps2 gave up the ghost last week, so I bought one of the new ones. Good god it's tiny! About the same size as a hard back book.

nowt wrong with the brick ps2 as you can actually put it on it's side in a small gap whereas the new one needs MORE space to do the same due to the cheapy flip top lid...

that and you have somewhere to put your weed stash in the big ps2, and when you've been playing for a while you entire room smells of 'herbs'... :D

The new slimline PS2 has USB 2.0 which means a external hard drive can be inserted.

That new PS2 is diddy! However, as already pointed out, you have to give space for the flip up top, so you can't really save space by standing it on end. Pity, if they'd given it an ejecting tray it could've been perfect.

i'm hearing bad things about the reliability of the new pstwo... some shops have had 2 dozen returned as faulty.

the thing costs $20 to produce too.

i'll stick with the big boxy ps2 kthnx

This is not surprising, I think the original PS had a load of naff ones at the start of production.
