View Full Version : Print spooler problems
I am on XP and my printer had disappeared, I have tried installing the printer drivers and that doesn't work. I've tried pressing 'Add printer' but that just says 'operation could not be loaded, printer spooling is not started'. When I go to start it within the services section I get an error saying 'The dependancy service failed to start'
Anyone got any clues?
My spooler depends on RPC, and another service that is specific to the model of printer.
Is RPC disabled maybe or something?
RPC is on automatic and is running.
From looking at other forums it looks to be a problem with SP2. Looking for new drivers now or Its good bye to useless SP2.
Just tried uninstalling SP2 and installing it again. No difference.
