How are you taking it? Are you taking more than one packet back to back without a break?
You could try ringing NHS Direct 0845 46 47 for information, and most pill brands have a helpline to call. :)

I would like to know the answer to that too, sorry to hijack the thread!:)
im on the microgyn pill, and on the leaflet it explains that every period you hav whilst on the microgyn pill is not a "true" period. so what i wana know is, even if you have a period which is not a "true period" whilst on the pill, could you still be pregnant? sorry if this sounds like a stupid question, but it would put my mind at rest!

The contraceptive pill works by putting a hormone in your body to make your body believe that it is pregnant. When you finish a pack, this hormone is removed, so the body flushes out the uterus lining.
It's a proper period, just artificially created.
You can have a period and be pregnant, though it is unlikely.

I asked a similar question a couple of weeks ago, as did someone else.
First thing to ask is have you taken all your pills properly? If not, did you use condoms for 7 days after you missed a pill? Are you certain you haven't thrown up or had very bad diarrhea which could have caused the pill to leave your body before it was properly absorbed?
If you can answer yes to all those, then the chances of you being pregnant are slim. It's not unheard of to miss a period randomly when on the pill, especially if stressed, ill or losing weight.
If the answer to any of them is no, then it's worth taking a pregnancy test to put your mind at rest.
Good Luck :)
