The best email app is your web browser.

I used to use AOL as my ISP 4 years ago and I carry on using their minimal £5/month service just to keep my email address. ON my current NTL connection, I use Mozilla to log onto AOL. I then paste my new email messages into Notepad and save them.

Oops, sorry. I'm used to clicking "go to the first unread post" so I keep missing the polls. I've voted now, thunderbird.

Incredimail isn't an email client in its own right I believe. You still need something like Outlook Express in order for it to work. Incredimail is a fancy program plug-in that adds smilies in your emails.

Out of your three Jazza:

THUNDERBIRDS ARE GO!!!

a lot of people who have used it dont like it, and a fair few that do have niggles with it

but i find M2, the mail client that comes with the 'opera' web browser to be suited to my needs, and in *my* opinion fab

Out of your choices, Thunderbird.

But I will always say that Opera is better.

I prefer thunderbird or mozilla mail cos its safer.
A very good reason to use these is the fact that they are open source.

Too right.

In my Outlook Express days (2-3 years ago), I would MERELY only have to highlight an email and I was infected with the Klez virus. I turned off the preview pane, and it still happened! It turned out that the virus was using a programming language called Active-X that enabled it run if the user left-clicked on the email title just once. The reason why I knew I got infected because I saw a DOS box appear and vanish in a split second. Then I ran my anti-virus and it found Klez on that email.
