View Full Version : Getting to clubs and Bars and back
How do you get to the clubs and bars you go to? Taxi, Bus, Car, etc? And how much do you spend getting there, on enterance fees and getting home again.

i usually go by taxi locally (£5-10) or a lot of the dj's that i follow live in my loca area and run coach trips that pick up and drop off locally so about £10 ish on a coach trip. if im going to leeds then train £3ish. other than that i rely on mysister and her fella ferrying me about yhe country to watch eric morillo cos there garented to be wherever he is lol. ususally they wont let me chip in so i pay the parkig.
If I go into Leeds I get the bus in which is about £1 and usually the nightbus back which is £2.. Unless its during the week then there is no nightbus so I have to taxi it. Which is about £15-£20.
Tend to avoid expensive entrance fees so tend to go someone decent thats got a cheapish entrance fee which more expensive drinks - as I tend to be wasted by then anyway!

Walk down the road, £7 into nighclub, walk back home or get a free lift, the odd time get a taxi which would cost £3.

Depends where I go, most clubs are near a tube station, so thats no problem getting there. Then its sometimes a £10 cab to the night bus stop and £1 home from there.

Taxi or walk. To walks takes about 4 hours when your pissed but it's do-able if you ain't got a lift.

I don't live far from the city centre so only cost me 3-4quid for a taxi there (Or get a lift from me dad to drop me in if he's about) 5 quid for entrance. Then another 3-4 quid getting home... maybe less if I get the taxi with someone else.

They tell you to ask the driver the fare before you get in for a reason.
I got a taxi for £6 up to where I live in Bradford because the driver didn't know how far it was- should've been £9-10
Round here, if we go out on a night, we get the Nightbus, which costs us nowt as our Megariders are valid on it:D

On my many drunken taxi trips Ive worked out a routine to get cheap fares.
1. Ask the driver before you go.
2. Reply to the driver, I asked the geezer when booking the cabs and he said it would be x amount.
3. Rejoice when the cabby wilts in fear at the prospect of the boss getting mad.
Worst cabs are the black taxi's waiting outside places in Essex and London.
In Romford theres a club called Time n Envy and it cost me 30 quid for a cab back to somewhere that should have been 15 quid. Make sure one person aint drunk in your group so you can swindle the cabby.
Also never puke in a cab, a friend of mine did and got taken to a cashpoint and forced to pay £70 to have it cleaned  Silly sausage should have run off.
