Has anyone experimeted with settingup their PC to recieve incoming phonecalls from a normal telephone?

I tried once but the people calling me could barely hear me and I was using a proper headset and mic at the time, and normal MSN / Slype calls were fine so problem was with the SIP VoIP service.

i have, i went with gossiptel i think, they gave you a 0870 number and it was quite cool.

people who phoned me said they could hear me properly and stuff so i didnt have any problems with it
